The Philippines Football League (PFL) has signed a wide-ranging partnership with sports data and integrity specialist Sportradar ahead of the start of its second season next month.

The partnership sees Sportradar become the PFL's official and excusive global audiovisual and data distribution partner, as well as its integrity services partner.

The league will become the first Asian sports competition to use Sportradar's Over-The-Top (OTT) content management platform to create its own video and streaming service, featuring live and recorded match coverage alongside visualised statistical data.

This new solution will allow the PFL to generate revenue through advertising, sponsorships, subscriptions and pay-per-view services, and will be made available to fans in the Philippines as well as in other countries.

The deal will also see Sportradar supply the PFL with a range of integrity services. The bodies will jointly run a campaign under the tagline "Integrity Always", with Sportradar to conduct a series of educational workshops for clubs and players to highlight the dangers of match-fixing.

Sportradar's Integrity Services division will also monitor betting on PFL matches for suspicious activity using its Fraud Detection System.

The PFL was launched in 2017, replacing the United Football League as the Philippines' professional football competition. It features eight teams, with Bacolod City-based team Ceres-Negros FC crowned champions at the end of the inaugural season.
