London-listed iGaming solutions provider Playtech has launched a shared liquidity poker network in France and Spain.
Playtech’s iPoker.EU network becomes the first B2B poker network across the two territories, with the supplier partnering with operators Betclic and Unibet in France, as well as bet365, Betfair, Casino Barcelona and Sportium in Spain.
Playtech said that the network would provide operators with larger-scale cross-territory network partnerships and promotions, with the supplier also expanding the offering with greater guaranteed prize pools and an increased array of cash game tables.
“Sharing liquidity across major European markets represents a huge opportunity for the industry,” said Playtech chief operating officer Shimon Akad. “This is a significant move forward for us, our operators and our players.
“The presence of six key operators as launch partners highlights the opportunities that exist, while also giving encouraging signs towards the future direction of the network. This move further reinforces Playtech’s position as a leader in regulated markets, as well as our continued commitment to poker.”
The shared liquidity agreement also includes the potential for additional operators from Portugal and Italy to join the network in the future.
Shares in Playtech plc (LSE:PTEC) were trading up 0.93 per cent at 443.20 pence per share in London Thursday morning.
