London-listed gaming supplier Nektan has agreed platform deals with two Africa-facing gaming operators.

Nektan has integrated its E-Lite content distribution platform with Betika and BetLion, giving the operators access to hundreds of HTML5 developed slot and table games for online and mobile play.

This will complement Betika and BetLion’s existing sports betting services in Africa, with both operators having recently secured license renewal in the Kenyan market.

Nektan said that entry into Africa furthers the company’s global expansion strategy and marks another important landmark for its fast-expanding and higher margin B2B division.

“Africa is an emerging market that is rich with possibilities and presents us with opportunities to build our international expansion,” said Nektan executive director Gary Shaw.

“As we continue to grow Nektan’s B2B software division, deals such as this highlight how our proprietary technology is fit for purpose in emerging markets all over the world.”

Jaydeep Chakravartty, VP Commercials at Nektan, added: “We’re thrilled to launch our E-Lite platform in Africa. As a nimble technology provider, we are able to efficiently integrate our content into large scale operator networks across the globe.

“Betika and BetLion will now be able to offer their customers a wide range of increasingly popular casino games.”

Shares in Nektan plc. (LSE:NKTN) were trading unchanged at 10.50 pence per share in London Tuesday morning.
