London-listed gaming operator Sportech has confirmed that it will go to the Court of Appeal to try and overturn a ruling in its ongoing VAT repayment dispute with Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
The move follows a refusal by the Upper Tribunal of the Tax and Chancery Chamber to hear Sportech’s appeal against a decision ordering it to hand back £93m which it been awarded for overpayment of VAT on a Spot the Ball game.
