Betfair has reported a 15 per cent increase in revenue to £135.4m for the first quarter ended July 31st, with EBITDA climbing 19 per cent year-on-year despite the impact of £12.8m of additional UK Point of Consumption tax.
Betfair said that the results represented another strong performance by the operator, with double-digit revenue growth against the period containing the World Cup last year “particularly encouraging” and ahead of expectations.
