US gaming and lottery supplier Scientific Games Corporation saw strong revenue growth of 62 per cent to $671.6m for the third quarter of 2015, although the company recorded a net loss of $678.2m after being impacted by impairment charges amounting to $639m during the period.

The company said that as a result of the prolonged reduction in overall customer spending on gaming machines and the decline in gaming operations installed base, it initiated a review of the carrying value of goodwill and certain intangible assets associated with game machine sales and gaming operations during Q3.
