US racetrack and casino operator Churchill Downs Incorporated has reported an 8 per cent increase in net revenue to a record $1.3bn for 2016, despite the continued decline in social casino revenue which slowed growth from its Big Fish Games division.

Net revenue was up by $96.3m compared to the previous year, driven primarily by solid growth from Big Fish Games casual and mid-core segments, and an improvement in revenue from TwinSpires and Racing. This helped the company generate adjusted EBITDA of $334.5m, up 11 per cent year-on-year.
