Illinois reported a 20 per cent increase in sports handle to $1.29 billion for January, the third month in a row that the state’s wagers have been above $1.2 billion.
Online sports betting accounted for 97 per cent of Illinois’s sport handle, growing by 21 per cent to $1.25 billion.
Retail betting in Illinois was up by 2 per cent to $37.4 million in January.
