This week has seen new slots released by SG Digital, Pragmatic Play, Betsoft Gaming, Realistic Games and 1X2 Network, alongside integrations for Relax Gaming, Booming Games and GameArt and a new cash game poker variant from PokerStars.

SG Digital

Scientific Games’ SG Digital division has launched two new games this week, Kronos Unleashed and Himalayas Roof of the World.

Developed by SG Digital’s Williams game studio, Kronos Unleashed pairs a portrait mode optimized reel set with innovative features. Players have a chance at big wins with Free Spins, the Bonus Nudge Feature, and the Lightning Re-Spin Bonus with added power-up symbols, which can trigger any of the 5 available jackpots.

From SG Digital’s Barcrest studio, Himalayas Roof of the World includes the Big Bet feature, more than 100 win lines, and a randomly triggered Snow Slide Bonus mystery feature.

“Both of these titles feature amazing themes that tie perfectly into their unique features,” said Tom Wood, chief creative officer at SG Digital. “Kronos brings his lightning to a fantastic portrait mode title, and Himalayas features wild avalanches with big win potential.”

Pragmatic Play

In anticipation of next month’s World Cup, Malta-based games developer Pragmatic Play has launched a new football-themed slot game, The Champions.

The 3x5 video slot gives players the chance to personalise their play session by picking their favourite team from a selection of 32 countries, before lacing up their boots and getting stuck into the game.

On top of the regular paylines, players can boost their chances of winning big by selecting one position on the reels which grants a 2x multiplier when the ball appears across a pool of ten spins, a boost that can grow to a maximum of 20x as more goals fly in.

The referee blows the whistle when three bonus symbols appear, giving the player five penalties. Scoring one penalty awards a payout of 5x the total bet, while netting all five raises the stakes by a multiple of 50.

“We’re big fans of the beautiful game at Pragmatic Play, and ahead of a packed summer of sport we’re delighted to be bringing slots fans a game they can tailor to their preferences and enjoy for a long time,” said Melissa Summerfield, chief commercial officer at Pragmatic Play.

“The dynamic soundtrack builds the atmosphere to fever pitch, while the engaging bonus mode and score multiplier add extra layers of interactivity that will keep players coming back.”

Betsoft Gaming

Casino games developer Betsoft Gaming has announced the launch of its latest 5x3 slot Ogre Empire.

The seat of a fairytale kingdom, Ogre Empire operates according to a unique day/night cycle, with different symbol sets and different multipliers available at different times.

During the daytime, when the residents are kept indoors, the ogre surveys the market square and occasionally swings his club to trigger a cascade of symbols. While the sun is up, the default symbols (including toadstools, gemstones, and gold coins) are joined by royals engraved on shuttered windows. As night falls, the ogre drifts off to sleep, and the city comes alive.

“With Ogre Empire, our goal was to prioritise narrative, immersion, and entertainment,” said Betsoft head of product development Dan Cooper. “We are particularly proud of the way that environmental art, audio, and our signature 3D graphics have come together to create a fantasy city that lives, breathes, and marches according to its own quirky beat.

“But at the same time, we were careful not to sacrifice slot thrills. From the unpredictability of the two varieties of spreading wilds, to our player-favourite double-up system, there’s no shortage of opportunities for significant wins.”

Realistic Games

UK-based casino supplier Realistic Games has launched its first ever 3D game with the release of Black Ice.

The five-reel, 10-line slot allows players to tilt and swipe their devices in order to change their view of the reels and enhance their game experience.

Each new game starts with 40 Wild symbols and whenever a win is obtained, all non-Wild symbols used in that win are also changed to Wild symbols. A free re-spin is then awarded using the new set of enhanced reels, giving players an even greater chance of wins.

“Black Ice is our first 3D slot and we are very excited to bring this new development to our operating partners,” said Robert Lee, commercial director of Realistic Games. “We can’t wait to see how players will react. This latest technology is fantastic and has allowed us to deliver an experience unlike any other game currently on the market.

“This is another exciting and positive step for us as we continue to grow, and we are confident that Black Ice will add another dimension to our expanding portfolio.”

Relax Gaming

Malta-based supplier Relax Gaming has signed an agreement to provide its table game and slot content to online casino operator Play Fortuna.

The operator will initially roll out Blackjack and Roulette products, before the introduction of slot games later this year.

“This is another sign that our competitive prices continue to appeal to operators, and we are very happy to add Play Fortuna to our growing list of partners,” said Relax Gaming CEO Daniel Eskola. “The table games we provide are proven to be successful for operators in markets worldwide and we can offer solutions that will thoroughly enhance the playing experience with Play Fortuna.”

A spokesperson for Play Fortuna added: “Table games and slots are core offerings for us, and we are certain Relax Gaming’s innovative content will be perfect for us and our players. We’re looking forward to seeing how they perform and are also looking forward to launching with their other products in the near future.”

1X2 Network

Casino games studio 1X2gaming, part of the 1X2 Network, is set to launch a World Cup-themed game to enable operators to capitalise on football fever this summer.

Football 3x3 boasts an innovative grid line-up of nine slots that can be spun simultaneously on the same screen, allowing players to go for goal and win even more prizes versus a standard slot configuration.

Players also have the option to “bench” the games that are not performing well, allowing them to only play the slots that are scoring the most goals and delivering the biggest wins.

“The World Cup will be the sporting - and betting - event of the year, and Football 3x3 has been designed to help operators capitalise on football fever this summer,” said Kevin Reid, chief commercial officer at 1X2 Network.

Booming Games

Isle of Man-based slots specialist Booming Games has agreed to launch 20 of its most popular games with OIA Services, operator of the Italian-facing Betaland and Enjoybet brands.

The initial 20 titles include Booming Seven Deluxe, Booming Bananas, Wild Jester and the popular Neon Signature Series, with additional titles to be rolled out in future.

“We recently entered the Italian market and this newly agreed partnership with OIA services will help further our coverage in the region, bringing our games to many more Italian players,” said Frederik Niehusen, chief commercial officer at Booming Games. “It is our aim to offer our games in as many regulated markets as possible.”

Michele Sprovieri, managing director at OIA Services, added: “We look forward to the partnership with Booming Games. We are confident that Booming games will add some more excitement to the OIA casino offer and we are glad to be one of the first operators to launch Booming Games in Italy.”

Malta-based iGaming software provider SkillOnNet has expanded its portfolio of slots with the addition of titles from GameArt.

The integration adds more than 50 slots to the SkillOnNet platform, which now offers approximately 1,200 games from suppliers including Microgaming, NetEnt and Yggdrasil Gaming.

SkillOnNet’s operator partners will gain access to slots such as Flaming Reels, Slot of Money, Money Farm 2, Tiger Heart, as well as GameArt’s latest release 4 Symbols.

“We constantly add quality content to our portfolio so that our partners have the widest choice of games available to them,” said SkillOnNet sales and marketing director Michael Golembo. “A part of this is understanding the slots that are popular in certain markets, and ensuring we offer them.

“By integrating content from GameArt, we are able to add more firepower to our portfolio, while continuing to strike the right balance between quality and quantity.”

GameArt co-founder and chief technology officer Saverio Castellano commented: “SkillOnNet is the driving force behind award-winning sites and, and with our gaming content proven with players and operators alike, we're confident SkillOnNet's licensees will also benefit from this popularity.”

Oryx Gaming

Slovenian iGaming supplier Oryx Gaming has secured approval to launch its platform and content in the regulated Romanian market.

The supplier has received all required Romanian certificates, licenses and approvals to offer its omni-channel platform to operators in Romania.

This includes a portfolio of more than 5,000 aggregated games from providers such as EGT, Amatic, iSoftBet and Kiron, as well as Gamomat and Kalamba.

“Regulated markets form a key part of our growth strategy and entering Romania is a fantastic opportunity for our business,” said Oryx Gaming CEO Matevz Mazij. “We are hoping to receive a great deal of interest from operators active in the Romanian territory, who are looking to improve omni-channel capabilities and offer an extended portfolio of iGaming content.”

PokerStars has released a new limited-time cash game variant ‘Showtime Hold’em.

In a fresh twist on No Limit Hold’em, every time a player folds their hand it will be shown face up for all players to see, revealing more and more information for current and future hands.

The operator says that Showtime Hold’em is a game designed to keep players on their toes, having to adapt their strategy based on the new information revealed each time someone folds and their cards are shown.

The variant is a new way for players to test their skills and see how well they can play when the rules are flipped. It follows the recent launch of another variant of the popular poker game with Split Hold’em.

“It is a real pleasure to offer this second temporary variant to our players,” said Severin Rasset, PokerStars director of poker innovation and operations. “The possibility to see all folded cards will introduce some fascinating strategic adjustments to the traditional and well-loved NL Hold’em game.”
