Swedish gaming monopoly operator Svenska Spel has called in the police to investigate suspicious betting activity on a basketball game which took place in December.
The police report was filed jointly by Svenska Spel and the Swedish Basketball Federation (SBBF) after the sport’s governing body uncovered evidence that statistics relating to the game were altered by someone possibly working within the organisation.
According to SBBF, one person has been suspended pending the outcome of the police investigation.
