Full Tilt founder Bitar pleads guilty, agrees to forfeit $40m

Full Tilt Poker founder Raymond Bitar has pled guilty in Manhattan federal court to violating the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) and conspiracy to commit bank and wire fraud.

Bitar entered his guilty plea via a video link from California, where he awaits a heart transplant.

The Full Tilt founder had previously pled not guilty to illegal gambling and fraud charges but changed his plea as part of a deal to avoid prison on medical grounds. [...]
