An American college basketball player has been arrested and charged for allegedly trying to fix the result of games and for attempting to bribe teammates during the 2011/12 season.
The arrest follows the release of a US college report which shows that more than a quarter of student-athletes had violated college sports betting rules and that there has been an increase in approaches for information and requests to influence the outcome of games.
