Son of world cricket boss implicated in match-fixing scandal

The son-in-law of Narayanaswami Srinivasan, the newly-elected chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has been found guilty of illegal betting and is to be investigated for match-fixing.

Gurunath Meiyappan was found guilty of illegal betting by an Indian Supreme Court panel, with the three-member panel saying that allegations of match-fixing on Indian Premier League (IPL) games required further investigation.
