A key member of the UK's Liberal Democrats has join industry pressure group the Campaign for Fairer Gambling in calling for the maximum stake on fixed-odds betting terminals (FOBTs) to be reduced to £2 a spin.
Speaking at the party conference taking place in Glasgow, the LibDem culture spokesman John Leech accused the current LibDem-Conservative coalition government of failing to take adequate action to limit the spread of FOBTs and the risk of gambling addiction.
