Norway legalises poker tournaments, home games to follow

Norway’s Ministry of Culture has amended the terms of its gambling legislation to allow land-based poker tournaments to be held in the country, and has also moved to legalise poker games in private homes.

The country has historically prohibited poker competitions but will now allow up to five regional qualifying tournaments and three national events to take place, and also plans to loosen its control over the activity in private homes.
