The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has announced its largest enforcement action to date after issuing cease-and-desist letters to 19 unlicensed online gambling sites.
The illegal gaming sites were found to be targeting players in Michigan without proper licensure, and take the total number of cease-and-desist letters issued this year to 112.
“Illegal gambling operators threaten the safety of our citizens and the integrity of our gaming industry,” said MGCB executive director Henry Williams. “When companies offer games without proper licensing, Michigan players are left without the critical protections they deserve. That’s unacceptable, and we’re taking strong action to stop it.”
The latest sites to face regulator action are: Bingo Village, BITBET, Café Casino, Cocoa Casino, Cyber Bingo, Davinci’s Gold, Desert Nights Casino, Diamond Reels Online Casino, Eclipse Casino, Eternal Slots, EuroBets Casino, Fair Go Casino, GoldWin Casino, Ignition Casino, Jackbit, Jackpot Capital, Paradise8, Red Stag Casino, and Two Up Casino.
They were found to be in direct violation of Michigan’s Lawful Internet Gaming Act, Lawful Sports Betting Act, and related laws, including the Michigan Penal Code.
The MGCB also cited several other platforms in active investigations, including BoVegas Casino, BUSR, Cherry Gold Casino, Lucky Legends, and Wager Attack Casino.
“These platforms operate in the shadows,” Williams continued. “They’re not just skirting the rules – they’re exposing players to serious harm. Our job is to stop them, and we take that responsibility seriously.”
Operators have 14 days to cease all activity in Michigan or face further legal consequences, including possible enforcement actions from the Michigan Department of Attorney General.
