Sweden is preparing to crackdown on unlicensed iGaming operators who advertise to Swedish consumers, following a proposed change to the country’s Lottery Law to bring it into compliance with European law.
The proposal was published Monday by Sweden’s ministry of finance and amends the Lottery Law so that domestic and foreign unlicensed operators are subject to identical sanctions for breaching marketing restrictions.
