The ongoing uncertainty surrounding Germany’s sports betting licensing process has prompted the gambling regulator’s Sports Advisory Board to resign, a move which industry body the German Sports Betting Association (DSWV) describes as highlighting the need for reform.
The Sports Advisory Board, comprised of representatives of the German Olympic Sports Confederation, the Football Association and Bundesliga, and other sporting federations, stepped down as a result of the failed licensing process.
