California Assemblyman Mike Gatto has cancelled a hearing on his bill to regulate online poker in the US state, citing the lack of a clear consensus on the issue.
While the bill has been withdrawn, Gatto said it is not necessarily dead. Due to an urgency clause it can be resuscitated at any time, he explained, but it was the “right thing” to at least postpone the hearing.
