Hungary submits further gambling amendments to European Commission

The Hungarian government has notified the European Commission of further proposed amendments to its gambling legislation addressing consumer protection issues and gambling marketing.

The notification follows Hungary’s submission in June of gambling amendments to allow the country’s land-based operators to offer games online.

The latest amendments, which were notified to the European Commission (EC) on August 7th, deal primarily with player protection issues and operation of the state’s Player Protection Register.
