Austria’s Council of Ministers has acted on the recommendations of a working group to develop a new package of measures designed to help stamp out match-fixing from the country’s sports.

The measures were originally suggested by a group led by the Austrian Sports Ministry, and comprising the Ministries of the Interior, Justice and Finance alongside relevant non-governmental groups.

The measures include the establishment of a single sports betting law for the country, alongside restrictions on in-play betting.
