Committee recommends legalising cricket betting in India

A Supreme Court-appointed committee in India has proposed significant reforms to the game of cricket, including the legalisation of betting on the sport.

The three-member panel was appointed by the Supreme Court following a number of spot-fixing and betting scandals in the past few years, and amid a thriving illegal betting syndicate market.
