Romanian lawmakers have finally adopted secondary legislation for the gambling market, setting out the operational and technical regulations for licensure.
The new regulations apply to both land-based and online gaming operators and suppliers. They state that 10-year online gaming licences will be made available to Romanian companies as well as those based with the European Union and European Economic Area, with non-domestic operators required to appoint a local representative.
