Two congressmen have made another attempt to push through legislation to allow sports betting in  New Jersey by reintroducing legislative proposals to amend US federal law.

Congressmen Frank LoBiondo and Frank Pallone have long been advocates of legalised sports betting in the state, arguing that it would boost New Jersey’s economy and help crack down on illegal sports betting operations.

Both LoBiondo and Pallone’s federal bills would allow sports betting in New Jersey, and follow similar proposals by the Congressmen in previous years.
