The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) has fined Lottoland £150,000 for using ambiguous terminology in its advertising and failing to make clear to players that they were betting on the outcome of lotteries.
The Gambling Commission fine follows an Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) ruling in February, which found that a radio advertisement for Lottoland misled players into thinking that they were participating in a lottery, as opposed to betting on the outcome.
