Liberalised German Sports Betting Market Likely in 2012

Following a request by the Prime Ministers Conference of the 16 federal states of Germany, the German Olympic Sports Federation has recommended that sports betting be legalised and regulated under future legislation, while the Bundesliga has said that an effective regulated market is the best way to combat manipulation of sports.
