Lawmakers in the US state of Georgia have introduced a resolution proposing a constitutional amendment to allow sports betting.
The proposal would amend Article I, Section II, Paragraph VIII of the Constitution to state that the General Assembly may by law provide for the operation, location, and regulation of betting facilities, including associated licensing and taxation, while reaffirming that all other forms of gambling remain prohibited.
