ECJ Says Member States Must be Consistent with EU Law

Advocate General Bot of the European Court of Justice has issued an opinion against the German prohibition of sports betting in a case involving Winner Wetten, confirming that the superiority of European law over national gaming legislation does not allow for any exception or transitional period.
