West Virginia Governor Jim Justice has claimed that licensed sports betting operators in the state will be required to pay an integrity fee to sports governing bodies.

The Governor's announcement follows a tentative agreement reached between the West Virginia Lottery Commission, the state's casinos and representatives of sporting bodies, including collegiate athletics directors. 

“I insisted from day one that no part of an integrity fee for sports betting would be paid by the state,” Governor Justice said.
