The Gibraltar Football Association (GFA) has banned four players from all football-related activities as part of an ongoing investigation into irregular betting activities.

The GFA had suspended four players last October pending an independent disciplinary hearing into allegations of irregular betting behavior.

The four players have now been named by the GFA’s Independent Disciplinary Board and found guilty of breaches of the association’s betting regulations during their time as a registered football player.

The sanctions include a seven-year suspension from all football-related activities and a £1,500 fine for Ivan Moya Tornay; a five-year suspension and £1,200 fine for Martin Rodrigo Belfortti; an eighteen-month suspension and £500 fine for Guillermo Roldan Mendez; and a nine-month suspension and £250 fine for Alberto Merino Sanchez.
