Lottery and gaming operator Tenlot Group has been awarded an exclusive license to operate bingo games in Costa Rica.

The long-term agreement sees Tenlot serve as the exclusive provider and operator of state-sponsored bingo games and related services in the country, with proceeds benefiting the Costa Rican Red Cross.

The games will be offered under the Tico Bingo brand, the national fundraising vehicle of the Red Cross in Costa Rica, through both retail and online channels.

“We couldn’t find a better partner than Red Cross of Costa Rica - the leading health and aid organisation in Costa Rica since 1885,” said Tenlot chief executive Yossi Abadi.

“Our operation aims not only to generate excitement and happiness through attractive prizes and entertaining games, but to participate in a strategic collaboration and contribute to the development and provision of modern health care in Costa Rica.

“The gaming industry in Costa Rica is estimated at more than US$550 million, presenting a fantastic opportunity for our group to participate, bringing our vast knowledge, advanced technologies and digital platforms, as well as our experience in marketing games on a national level in our other markets.”

Abadi added that Tenlot is currently preparing a massive nationwide expansion by opening hundreds of new points of sale in Costa Rica, as well as launching a new bingo application and website.

“This is another step to enhance Tenlot Group’s strategic base in Latin America and to leverage our cooperation in the development of our partner countries’ social, educational and medical infrastructures,” Abadi concluded.
