The UK government yesterday set the terms of the levy scheme for 2011/12, increasing the headline rate of levy from 10 per cent to 10.75 per cent for licensed betting offices (LBOs), telephone and internet betting operators, which would yield levy proceeds in the range of £73.7m to £80.8m – in line with the submission provided by government-appointed members of the Horserace Betting Levy Board.
