The UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned an advertisement for Netplay TV’s for featuring misleading odds.

The ad claimed that betting on red or black when playing roulette offered odds of 1 to 1 for the user, prompting a number of complaints from consumers. The complainants argued that odds of 1 to 1 were misleading, as the possibility of the ball landing on the roulette wheel’s green zero meant that rather than being even, the odds were slightly skewed against the player.
