A TV advert for Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has been banned by the UK’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) for a free bet promotion which misleadingly implied that the offer was open to all customers.

The ASA, the independent regulator for advertising across all media in the UK, received 12 complaints for a TV and press ad for Paddy Power, seen on March 15th of this year, which included a restriction preventing certain customers from taking advantage of the promotion.
