Amaya's sports betting brand BetStars has launched a new marketing campaign featuring snooker legend Stephen Hendry and newly recruited brand ambassador Wayne Bridge, the former England international footballer.

The Big Call marketing campaign sees the two brand ambassadors make literal 'big calls' via a video phone to share predictions ahead of major sporting events.

It kicked off on April 5th with Premier League winner Bridge previewing the match between his former sides Chelsea and Manchester City. His predictions for the match, which ended 2-1 to Chelsea, were broadcast across BetStars' social media channels and his own accounts.

Seven-time world snooker champion Hendry will be the next to be featured, with his Big Call video to be released ahead of the World Snooker Championships on April 15th. Additional high-profile sportspeople will be brought in to make 'big calls' around other events in the coming months.

"At BetStars we don't sit on the fence, we celebrate bold opinions and those willing to make big calls," the brand's managing director Zeno Ossko said. "We are connecting social media users with some of their favourite sporting idols, the people best placed to share genuine sports insight ahead of the year's biggest and best betting events.

"We're proud to be partnering with a number of champions from various sporting disciplines for our 'Big Call' as we work to continuously enhance the experience of BetStars customers and increase brand awareness amongst those with a passion for sport."
