New Jersey Senator Raymond Lesniak says he still expects the state’s casinos and racetracks to launch sports betting later this year, despite Tuesday’s application for an injunction by professional and amateur sports organisations.
The senator said Wednesday that he believes that the court will not attempt to interfere with New Jersey’s sports book operations until after deciding the case on its merits, a process which could take six months or more.
