The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) has launched an investigation through its integrity unit after being advised by bookmakers of suspicious betting activity on the match between Jimmy Michie and Marcus Campbell at the Caesarscasino.com Snooker Shoot-Out on Friday.
The investigation follows a warning from bookmakers who recorded an unusually high number of bets on Campbell to win the match in the one-frame knockout tournament in Blackpool.
