Claes Tellman takes over as Gaming Corps chairman

Swedish casino games developer Gaming Corps has named board member Claes Tellman as its new chairman.

Tellman takes over as chairman from Mikael Wågberg, who has resigned to focus on his responsibilities as interim CEO of Stockholm-based transportation company Keolis.

Wågberg had served as Gaming Corps' chairman since June.

“After being given the opportunity in September to take on a new professional challenge in the form of the CEO role in Keolis AB, I have, in consultation with the Gaming Corps board, taken the difficult decision to focus on my new responsibilities and leave my role as chairman of the board of the company,” said Wågberg.

“Therefore, I have chosen to end my assignment and create an opportunity for someone who can devote themselves wholeheartedly to Gaming Corp's future development. I am convinced that the company has a positive future and wish everyone in the company the best of luck."

Commenting on Wågberg's departure, Tellman said: "We would like to thank Mikael for his contribution, commitment and leadership as chairman of the board during his time on the company's board.

“The operations of the company are not affected by the change, and we are confident that Gaming Corps will continue its successful development. The vacancy on the board will remain until the next AGM in 2024 and the Nomination Committee will initiate the process for this shortly."

Shares in Gaming Corps AB (STO:GCOR) were trading at SEK1.44 per share in Stockholm earlier Monday.
