Eurojackpot has been selected as the official sleeve partner of Dutch Eredivisie sides AZ Alkmaar and FC Twente for the next five seasons.
The Nederlandse Loterij brand will adorn the sleeves of both teams’ home and away shirts until 2030.
There is a blanket ban on gambling sponsorships in sports in the Netherlands, which took effect on 1 July 2025, but the lottery is exempt.
Nederlandse Loterij managing director Michael Kastelijns said: “AZ is a club with ambitions and competes for the prizes every season. That fits perfectly with Eurojackpot: the lottery for real winners, with the highest main prize in the Netherlands.
“With this lottery we support Dutch football and we want to help the sport further. Because Nederlandse Loterij is the biggest driver of sports and exercise. We are therefore proud of our collaboration with AZ as Official sleeve partner.”
Merijn Zeeman, general manager at AZ Alkmaar, added: “Nederlandse Loterij is a trusted name in the sports world. They not only support top-level sports, but also recreational sports and social initiatives. This social responsibility appeals to us and ties in well with the course we are pursuing as a club. We are proud to welcome them as a sleeve partner.”
Marco Behrens, commercial affairs manager of FC Twente, commented: “Eurojackpot will be on the left sleeve of our match shirt from next season. As a club, we have had a partnership with the Dutch Lottery for years, an organisation that represents multiple game brands.
“We are proud that we can continue the partnership with the Eurojackpot brand until 2030. The duration of the partnership also shows that Eurojackpot supports the club and has great confidence in the future.”
Eurojackpot is also the main sponsor of the domestic men’s and women’s national cup, the KNVB Cup, for the next five years, as well as being the main sponsor of the women’s Eredivisie.
VriendenLoterij will be the title sponsor of the men’s Eredivisie until 2029.
