Veikkaus’ B2B game development subsidiary Fennica Gaming has appointed former Relax Gaming CEO Simon Hammon as an advisory board member.

Hammon joins the advisory board at Fennica as the supplier looks to take its suite of online instant game products to more jurisdictions, having been successfully rolled out across three continents over the last two years.

Fennica Gaming board chair Jonas Reuter commented: “At Fennica Gaming, our primary goal is to ‘put the players first’. We have gained valuable insights into players in different markets through our unique and highly gamified eInstant portfolio, and it has shown that our game philosophy travels well across countries and global regions.

“In a constantly evolving landscape, we aim to broaden our horizons even more and have invited Simon Hammon to advise our board of directors. With his expertise, we hope to better understand the changing needs of international players and markets.”

Hammon served as CEO of Relax Gaming until October of this year, and prior to that spent a decade as chief product officer at Relax Gaming and NetEnt, aiding in the creation of a number of successful titles for both suppliers.

“With my experience across various markets, I believe I can help Fennica Gaming’s board of directors guide the company towards becoming a successful international B2B games provider,” said Hammon. “Additionally, returning to my roots to a game provider is particularly exciting for me.

“I am confident that leveraging Fennica Gaming’s strengths – its fantastic heritage, unique games, excellent design, visual quality, and delivery excellence – will be the key elements in building our strategy.”
