Mobile esports platform provider Skillz has appointed Kent Wakeford, former chief operating officer of social gaming giant Kabam, to its board of directors.
Wakeford is currently co-owner of an esports team alongside Kabam co-founder Kevin Chou, while his previous role at Kabam saw him manage publication and distribution of six games that grossed more than $100m each, including Marvel: Contest of Champions and The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-Earth.
