The chairman of the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), Steve Harman, has announced his intention to step down from the role later this year.
Harman will vacate the chairman's office in November and the BHA plans to begin its formal search for a successor shortly.
He is leaving to take up what is described as a new "industry-wide" position, in which he will engage with the UK government to minimise the impact of the planned cut in fixed-odds betting terminal (FOBT) stakes on [...]
