Finland's state-owned gaming operator Veikkaus has appointed Regina Sippel as its new chief financial officer (CFO) and a member of the executive team.

Sippel assumes responsibility for the management of Veikkaus’ finance, planning and services function and joins from travel operator Thomas Cook, where she spent over three years as group CFO for Northern Europe, having previously worked for the company’s travel and tourism subsidiary Tjäreborg as managing director.

Veikkaus’ organizational restructuring at the beginning of September also sees Jari Heino take over retail sales as SVP, channels and sales, where he also holds responsibility for the point of sales and services divisions.

Other changes include Jarmo Kumpulainen taking over responsibility for CSR and Anna Segercrantz taking charge of procurement. Joni Hovi will also join the company as vice president of customer relations management for Veikkaus’ New Business division.
