London-listed betting and gaming operator Flutter Entertainment has announced that Richard Flint will step down from the company’s Board in May.

Flint has decided not to seek re-election to the Flutter Board at the Annual General Meeting to be held on 1 May, and will step down as a non-executive director at the conclusion of that meeting.

Flint joined the Board in March 2020 following the merger of Flutter Entertainment and The Stars Group (TSG).

He previously served as executive chair of Sky Betting & Gaming until October 2019, having previously held the position of CEO for 10 years until the company was acquired by TSG in 2018.

Flint also served as product director of the original Flutter.com, which merged with Betfair in 2001.

“The Board wish to thank Richard for the considerable value and strategic insights he has brought to Flutter during his tenure and acknowledge his tremendous contribution to the development of the Sky Bet business since its inception in 2001,” said Flutter chair John Bryant. “We wish him success in the future.”

Shares in Flutter Entertainment plc (LSE:FLTR) were trading 0.16 per cent lower at 12,825.00 pence per share in London Thursday morning.
