Greentube partners Playtech to expand distribution in Europe and Mexico

14th May 2020 9:33 am GMT

Novomatic’s interactive division Greentube has signed a new deal to launch a selection its casino content via Playtech’s Games Marketplace.

The strategic distribution agreement will see classic Novomatic titles, which have been adapted for online play, go live through Playtech’s aggregator platform, including Book of Ra deluxe and Lucky Lady’s Charm deluxe.

Playtech’s customers will also gain access to recent releases including Diamond Link: Mighty Elephant and Cash Connection Charming Lady, with Greentube’s games to be initially made available in Poland, Spain and the UK, as well as in Mexico.

“Joining Playtech’s Games Marketplace creates significant advantages for both our businesses: Playtech’s customers will get access to our player-favourite titles that have proven to deliver strong results, while we will further accelerate our reach into key strategic markets,” said Michael Bauer, chief games officer at Greentube. “We believe this step comes at exactly the right time, as more and more European jurisdictions regulate and the Americas promise much room for growth.”

Playtech chief operating officer Shimon Akad commented: “We are very proud to have Greentube’s vast collection of both classic casino games and modern interactive content available through our Games Marketplace.

“These games will be a valuable addition to our portfolio, providing our partners with titles that appeal to audiences ranging from traditional land-based players to new online slot fans. Playtech’s scale and distribution is a powerful offering for potential partners, and this is a great example of our commitment to partnering with the right companies to bring great content to new and growing markets.”

Shares in Playtech plc (LSE:PTEC) were trading down 3.91 per cent at 206.60 pence per share in London earlier Thursday.
