Brazilian banking giant and lottery concession holder Caixa Economica Federal has reported an 8 per cent increase in lottery sales to R$13.88bn (€3.53bn) in 2017.
Caixa Lotteries said that the result surpassed expectations, with Brazil's biggest lottery Mega-Sena accounting for 42 per cent of total sales for the year, equivalent to approximately R$5.83bn.
