Fanatics Betting and Gaming has launched its online sportsbook in Washington DC through a partnership with professional women’s soccer team Washington Spirit.

The market access agreement marks Fanatics Sportsbook’s first team partnership with a professional women’s sports organization and gives the brand in-stadium signage, digital marketing, activations at Audi Field, and other opportunities for Spirit fans and ticket holders to engage with Fanatics Sportsbook.

“As we continue to build out our sports betting business, we are excited to partner with the Washington Spirit,” said Fanatics Betting and Gaming chief business officer Ari Borod. “We will look to grow the Fanatics Sportsbook alongside the growing popularity of women’s soccer and women’s sports generally across the country.”

Washington Spirit CEO Kim Stone commented: “We’re excited to announce our groundbreaking partnership with Fanatics Sportsbook. “This is another indication of the momentum surrounding the Spirit and women’s sports.

“This collaboration gives us the chance to enter the sports betting space with a trusted brand, all while staying true to our commitment to integrity, empowering women, and creating great experiences for our fans.”

The Washington Spirit is an inaugural member of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), with the team currently in second place in the league table after 19 games of the 2024/25 season.
