Flutter Entertainment’s FanDuel brand has launched a new responsible gambling tool to bolster its player protection efforts.
Real-Time Check-In uses machine learning to analyse a player’s deposit behaviour. It then estimates how much a user typically deposits and flags irregular transactions.
When a player’s deposit deviates from their usual pattern, they will be asked to review the transaction in real-time and offered options such as reducing the deposit, setting a new deposit limit, or reviewing financial history through the operator’s My Spend dashboard.
“Last year, we saw how providing personalised insights into a customer’s activity through My Spend can help them to better manage their play. We also know deposit is a key moment in the customer journey,” said Cory Fox, FanDuel SVP of public policy and sustainability.
“Now, we’re able to use machine learning to provide a new level of support through Real-Time Check-In encouraging customers to reflect on how much money they’re depositing and if it’s within their budget.”
Shares in Flutter Entertainment plc. (NYSE:FLUT) gained 2.01 per cent to close at $249.01 per share in New York Friday.
