PENN Entertainment has taken its ESPN Bet brand live in Washington DC’s regulated sports betting market.
Following the launch in Washington DC, ESPN Bet is now live in 20 jurisdictions across the United States, while PENN’s retail sportsbooks in Pennsylvania, Colorado, Ohio, Iowa, Indiana, and West Virginia are set to rebrand to ESPN BET in the early part of this year.
“We’re thrilled to launch ESPN BET in our nation’s capital and expand our presence across the Washington metropolitan area,” said PENN Entertainment chief technology officer Aaron LaBerge.
“Along with our partner ESPN, we’re excited to introduce our deeply integrated media and betting experience and further engage with the D.C. area’s passionate sports community.”
Shares in PENN Entertainment Inc (NASDAQ:PENN) closed 2.13 per cent lower at $20.21 per share in New York Wednesday.
