Merkur Casino is celebrating the grand opening of its new flagship casino venue in Milton Keynes in the United Kingdom.
Based inside Xscape Milton Keynes, the casino spans 22,000 sq. ft and houses a 1,367 sq. meter gaming floor featuring 72 slot machines, 26 electronic roulette terminals and 15 live gaming tables.
“Our head office is based here in Milton Keynes, so this opening means a great deal to us,” said Merkur Casino chief operating officer Mark Schertle. “We’ve worked with local suppliers, created over 100 new roles and built a venue that reflects everything this city stands for – energy, innovation and community spirit. We’re proud to create these opportunities in our home city.

Formerly known as The Casino MK, the venue was previously operated by Aspers and closed its doors in April of this year after the company went into administration.
Merkur acquired the casino in August, with the reopening underscoring Merklur’s long-term growth strategy in the UK.

Casino Milton Keynes is Merkur’s second casino in the UK following the launch of its Aberdeen Casino in 2023.
Merkur recently acquired Northern Ireland’s largest gaming and amusement machine operator, Oasis Retail Services.
